- Roosevelt University
- Our World–Underwater
- San Francisco Ocean Film Festival

Hello fellow ocean lovers!

Since we were going to be in Chicago to work on some upcoming efforts there and also to prepare for the Our World-Underwater show, we accepted an invitation to give a guest lecture at Roosevelt University.

Speaking to a Law, Policy, and Ethics class, our Executive Director's presentation was well received. The audience was predominantly ecologically minded students, many of whom were enrolled in the sustainability program there.

It was absolutely rewarding to see so many enthused and eager young minds engaged in the issues and poised to make change. We look forward to great things - and great people - coming out of emerging programs like this.

Our World–Underwater

This was our fifth year at the Our World–Underwater Show in Chicago, and it was a wonderful event. We had a great time connecting with a number of colleagues there, and also made some wonderful new connections.

We're building more and more of a following in the midwest, and we're encouraged by the impact from our efforts there. We already look forward to next year's show, and to all the work that we'll be doing in the Chicago area.

San Francisco Ocean Film Festival

Now in its eleventh year, the San Francisco Ocean Film Festival returns to the Bay Theater at Pier 39, Adjacent to the Aquarium of the Bay.

The opening night gala will be held this Wednesday (05 March), and the regular programs begin Thursday afternoon and run through Sunday (06-09 March).

You'll definitely find us at the SFIOFF on Saturday evening (Program 8 / 7pm), where COARE will be one of the featured nonprofit partners. You may also be able to catch our Executive Director at the shark program (Program 6 / 1pm), where he'll be attending as a VIP.
